Contact Explorer RV (online), or Miller Agency in Forest City IA, or Progressive. These are some of the most used for RV insurance. We use Explorer RV. Both they and Miller are insurance brokers, which means they don't sell for just one company. They will find the best policy at the best price for your situation/circumstances. We have been very happy with Explorer RV. I would get quote from several sources before deciding on one, as there can be amazing differences in cost. You don't give us a clue what year/type/etc RV you are wanting to insure, but you should be able to get a full coverage fulltimer policy on a 40' diesel pusher for a little over $1000/year ...the price can vary a LOT depending on your driving record, credit rating, and state of residence.

Camping World probably sells the same as Good Sam would provide ...all part of the same company.

Hi GENECOP,
Consider contacting Farm & City Insurance. They specialize in coach insurance. I've had my insurance there for years. If one company gets too expensive they can switch you to a lower price company with the same or better coverage. Their contact information is RV Advantage | FCIS Insurance - RV Insurance, Motor Home Insurance, Travel Trailer Insurance or 800-331-1520. They are on Central Time.

Foremost Ins. Co. great outfit, been with them since 1995 and pleased with their 'NO HASSLE" claim service. Have had several claims over the years and NO increase in premiums.

Good luck with your choice of an Insurer

If your RV is valued over $500K don't waste your time calling Progressive. I called them last week and they told me that they didn't insure anything over that amount. Also GMAC won't insure it either (over they 500K limit) unless you insure ALL of your household vehicles with them.

GEICO has a special RV policy plan that is designed in mind just for the RV'er. It also has an option for replacement coverage in case of a total loss.

Insurance

No one can touch Gilbert's price. They are hundreds of dollars less than any other company I chcked with. My other vehicles are with Geico, but Gilbert beat them by $800.00 per year.
I've been with Gilbert 5 yrs.

I give a plug for Miller Insurance as well, Progressive went up 33% from the last year, when I inquired to why the increase I was told that all of AZ went up in premiums. They did me a favor I found Miller to be a lot better deal for the same coverage.

Just to avoid any misconception... Both Miller and Gilbert are agencies, not insurers. But they do a good job of finding an insurance company that can handle your RV needs at a competitive price.

Rates will vary widely according to the state you are to be insured in and your personal situation. A company that offers great rates for one person may not be so good for another, so you have to shop around.
