SF handled our claim for firecdamage caused by faulty water heater wiring without breaking a sweat. never even saw an adjuster. i had the damage fixed, sent SF the bills, photos, etc. to my agent. in a few days i had a full payment check less my deductible. just my most recent claim experience from SF.

The main reason I do not bundle. My MH insurance premium is being raised by 30%. Called agent, she found a different company who quoted virtually same premium for same coverage as 2 years ago with present company.
That cannot be done easily with everything bundled

Thanks for the insight. I got a quote from Hartford with AARP discount and moved the RV and our 2 cars over. Saved about $1,500 annually. They weren't competitive on homeowners or I would have moved that also, but extremely happy with this. The best part would be hopefully not having to face 15% to 25% increases every year, even with clean records and no claims history. Thanks to everyone for the replies and sharing your experiences....happy and safe travels to all!

Most automobile insurance companies have holes in their policies that don't work for recreational vehicles. Campers have specific needs that State Farm doesn't cover in their policies. And State Farm would be happy if they never saw any RV insurance request.

I have Progressive. The adjuster is specialized, and he only handles RV's. He knows the owners and managers of all RV body shops in the area, and they're all used to dealing with each other. The adjuster didn't bat an eye at paying hourly rates three times what they pay for car/truck body work. And we got excellent service out of him.

Geico asked $1,800 for our new 40’ Newmar, Progressive $1,300 and State Farm, with 45 years of claim-free history on two vehicles, wanted $4,300!!
They said they don’t right many RV policies. I said I can see why!
