RV Loans

Does anyone know any information on Best Rate-Loans, owner Barry Wilder from Lees Summit, KS?
Any other financial institutions you would recommend? We have excellent credit but this is our first time for such a large purchase on an RV.

Michmac, I don't know about Lees Summit. We financed our first rv last fall thru Ally Financial @ 3.99%. This was lower than the credit union. Not sure what rates are presently . Best of luck

Essex or LightStream are two lenders that loan on RV's. The nice thing about LightStream is they don't want to be a lien holder on the title and you can get your money before finding your rig and then pay "cash" when you're ready.

Ally also for us. Nothing over ten yrs old. And up to 19 yrs. I did not find how long till we were signing the deal. Had I known I would have spent more on a newer model yr. my fault. Good luck.

Most any of your local banks and credit unions will have their rates posted on line. I belong to one that historically had the lowest rates for anything new or used, my wife's was in the middle of the pack - but for an RV in Aug.,2014, was the lowest by far this time. It's gone up a bit but not drastically. Spend some time in front of your 'puter screen to find the best and the dealer may beat it (Oh, and we burned our 'mortgage' last month ).

Essex/Bank of the West gets loans approved and funded fast. Good rates and easy to work with on a MH. Used them earlier this year and couldn't ask for better service.

Just coded a 20 yr loan 6 weeks ago. @ 4.09%. Quick and easy to deal with and low fees. Just stay on top of them to avoid delays.

For loans over 100k, what's normal down payment? 10%, 20%?

We used USAA for the toy hauler but it was under 100k and it was painless. They went off the loan value of the rig which was far higher than the price we paid....but for 100k and up they go off the actual sales price and need 20% down I believe. Just wondering if these others are similar?

Michmac, I don't know anything about Best Rate Loans, but I do know that Lee's Summit is in Missouri, not Kansas. Check out everything carefully.

Essex was fast and ez, low rate. They even quoted a longer term by mistake and were willing to honor the quote when I pointed it out. I bought private party and they were still very ez.

Anybody with good credit should be able to get those rates. If you can get lower, you're really getting a good rate!
