RV Mfg. conducting RV owner design Brainstorming meetings

Anyone know of an RV mfg. that invites RV owners (and not specifically of their own brand) to their facilities for floor plan brainstorming sessions?

I may be wrong but seems like the designers are only taking input from RV sales reps and not from actual customers??

While I haven't heard it done at the facility, Fleetwood (now REV Group) does take owner input during sessions at their yearly owner rally. Some suggestions have probably made it into production.

On the Heartland owners forum it's a pretty regular thing to have the designers ask for the forums input on upgrades or design choices. It's the only forum that I have seen where the consumers do get to have some input on up coming models.

Outdoors RV definitely monitors the forum here for ideas. There have been a number of modifications by owners that ended up in standard products. In addition the listen during their Owner's group campout each year. Of course, they are just a small producers, but they do listen.

I think most of the input comes from dealers, who are the ones that place the actual orders for new RVs. Their marketing people surely get ideas from all over, but the ones that get listened to the most are the ones backed with the $$ that place orders.

Dealers order what they think they can sell, so they are listening at least a little to their customers. Things like how long, how many beds, price (for sure!), and so on.
