Geez, what's wrong with your setup, everyone else reports 12-15 mpg, would head to the dealer and have it fixed.

Just returned from a 3000 mile round trip and averaged 9.2 with our 1990 Barth, 8.3 Cummins towing a Mazda 3. Our average speed was about 63. Happy ventures and be safe!

Welcome to iRV2.
As Mike says $.50 a mile is a good estimate. CA with lower speed limits, if you're towing, but higher gas prices save on the road , pay at the pump.
AVIOID, buying fuel in Needles CA $1 gal higher than the rest of the state, 21 miles up the road, on I-40 / AZ 95 junction, you get it at a better price.
Remember you're driving your cottage down the road, take your time , make your own meals , boondock once in a while, those are the places to save $$ , when you're RVing.

RV mileage

Don't generally worry about it. If I'm going I'm going. Put fuel in at 1/2 tank. I never use the bottom 1/2 of the tank. Hope that fuel doesn't get stale?? I have always used the $.50 per mile for an estimated cost for fuel for any trip also.

Hmmm I thought that was pretty good. I would have to ride with the person claiming that mileage. Sorry I don't buy it.
My 64 caddie with a 429 in her don't get that kind of mileage..
My 99 deville concours has gotten as good as 28 mpg 4.6 Northstar
Maybe I should install that in the PA

Ok here's a trade off... We get the worst of 11mpg in our 95 Chevy 28' class A .. Best of 14... Average 12.5 @ around 62-63 mph... BUT,,, I can't (or won't) tow anything because we are about 11,000 lbs with a 350 Chevy... You might pass me up hill, but I'll pass you at the gas pump... To the OP, your engine/chassis setup would give people a better guess at your "real world" mileage to expect...
