RV Noise -Stopping ?
While camping , our grands went inside
and while moving about in the camper
get drinks and snacks, we noticed a
squeaking. DH thinks it's the brakes?
Is there a cheap fix for this ?

Sorry Bella, I think a lot more info is required to get any help here. 
From what you've written , the RV was parked and you were outside and the kids were inside, when the noise was heard.
What we don't know is the type of RV ?, where you were parked? gravel, grass or concrete pad ?, were levelers or stabilizers in use ? and can the noise be duplicated?

Unless the grands applied the brakes while they were moving about in the camper getting drinks and snacks...methinks something in the suspension was squeaking...(not something in the brakes).
BTW I agree with Skip426... more information is needed before for anyone can offer any useful help .

While you are under the trailer inspecting the springs, shackles, bolts and other suspension parts you could spray the springs and moving parts with Fluid Film.
This 100 year old design does make noise. Our fore-fathers would hammer in a fitting between the spring leaves and pump grease in with a grease gun.

It could be a lot of things, but I seriously doubt it's the brakes! JMHO!
I would have someone walk around inside while you listen outside to see it you can pin down the area the sound is coming from.

We have had that happen and it was not the brakes. I re-leveled the MH manually and the squeaking/ snapping sounds stopped. That has only happened one time when I used the automatic levelers and did not do any manual fine tuning. Now I just do the leveling manually as it seems to be easier on the MH and does not over adjust. It's worth a try and will only take a few minutes. We also don't let the jacks touch the ground as we put a pad down under them.

I understand what you mean by speaks...I thought it normal. I will have the lube done when the techs are under there.

Yes!. A member of my weekly coffee group recently showed one of these gadjets and no one had the slightest idea what it was. I think he bought it at an antique tool auction. My earlier memory is that, during a chassis lubrication, the worker would spray light oil or kerosene on leaf springs to reduce squeaking.

Your "techs" never heard of greasing leaf springs. Just spray the springs, it takes about 1.5 minutes out of your day. Robot Check

Our coach is going to have the chassis checked out for a leaning issue, so the "tech" can then show me what will be need to be done. I have never heard of fluid film, my toolbox has grease lighting and wd40. We have a Ford V10 and Ford chassis, didn't think a MH would need anything else. Newbie at Rving ��
