I'd guess that Rick is right on with his estimate. Not likely to be much of an issue for you.

Roll on and enjoy!

Think of it like a resturant with a fancy dress code. Do you really want to go there and pay their inflated prices? With gas prices so high I imagine that many campgrounds are a little under occupied. I like the idea of expressing your opinion by traveling down the road to a CG that welcomes everyone or boondock.

I agree that parks have the right to set their own standards. And, of course, I have the right not to stay there. I don't mind if a parks says "all motorhomes must be clean and in good repair." What I don't llike is "all rv's must be 10 years old or newer and have full body paint." This may be setting standards, but to me, the "standard" is how much money you have. I won't stay as such a park even if my RV meets their "standards."

I've never seen a park which required full body paint.

I'm seeing more & more "resorts" that don't allow anything but +30' Class A's.

Mind you, with what they charge I doubt too many 'regular folks' would want to stay there anyways.

I called the Lake Norman resort last week, because it is very near where I was taking my coach to be repaired. We wanted to stay one night, and drop the coach off at the shop the next day. No problem. They didn't ask me about full body paint. I offered that my coach had slight body damage, and was going to the shop the next day, again... no problem.

We ended up not going, because the shop had free hookups, and was right across the street from a marina where we wanted to rent a boat. But we could have stayed there by all indications over the phone.

Who knows, maybe they would have turned us away when we got there, but I doubt it.

I had to look at the Lake Norman thing because it's one of our favorite places in the South. The rules stated" full body paint and/or fiberglass body. So, full body paint is not a requirement, in fact look at the website and see how many home do not have full body paint in the park picture. Actually, it looks like a great park, and it's in a great area if you have a toad.

I ran into the "age of RV" when I got divorced in 2004 and wanted to put my
23' TT in a local park on a full time basis, the TT was a 1979. I sold it and
bought a used 2004 27' TT and lived there for a couple of years.

I think most parks that have those restrictions do it more for long term rentals than short term rentals.
