People do it though. I don't understand it. There's a thread here on iRV2 about a company that gets people to deliver RVs into Alaska. They give you a very tight delivery time(read no side trips) and if you want extra days, you have to pay 'rental' costs for them. The fuel is on the delivery person as is the CG costs. You also have to pay for a short term insurance policy. It a great deal...for the owners.

BTW. One pays their own way to pick up the RV and all the return costs. Another reason not to do this is that not all RVs roll off the assembly line in perfect condition...how does one deal with all the bugs that pop up on maiden voyages?
