RV salvage parts

I could not really find the right spot for this. If it needs moved or deleted I understand. I have been trying to order a window awning for our MH. We have a 2005 American Tradition 42R with awnings on all the windows except the two windows on the passenger side under the main awning. We had a previous AC with awning and miss having it. We could leave it out while away and not really worry about the wind, not the case with the main awning. I have tried to order this awning and Carefree has dropped the color of the arms and cover shield from their line up. Research led me to several RV Salvage yards across the country. I am located in N.C. so I was trying to find something close as possible because of shipping. Visones RV in eastern Kentucky fit the bill.Visones has a great website and I kept checking on their "RV's we are parting out" section. After a few months of looking I finally found a coach that had my awning! I called and we agreed on a price and within a week I have the awning in perfect condition! The company is doing a service to the RV community and the people I dealt with are Top Shelf! Price was good and their packing and shipping skills are superb! If you are looking for something that has been damaged for whatever reason, give their website and them a call.

Thanks for the info.

I checked out their site and found a side view mirror on one of their salvage units. I'll give them a call tomorrow!

They must have been hit by the recent tornadoes. Their website says they are closed due to storm damage. Thanks for the reference. Will bookmark it for future reference. You must have the "Champagne" color arms. I had a heck of a time getting them 3-4 years ago when we added awnings on those same windows. Carefree still had them in stock back then, but had deleted the order number and kept sending another color instead. Probably the salvage yard is your only hope now. Or a can of automotive spray paint - there are several cars with a nearly identical color.

Gary you nailed it. This one came off of a Monaco and it was on the driver side. But it will work fine on the passenger side of mine. We had that awning on our Dream and Eagle and missed it on our Tradition. I'd like to stop in and walk through on our way to Goshen this June.

I agree fully. I have dealt with them and found them to be outstanding and in fact unbelievably courteous. Returned my calls on follow ups. Shipped the items promptly and reasonably. Great people

I found some captains chairs at Visone and we drove 3 hrs to pick them up. They were very friendly and let us look around at all the salvage coaches. It was helpful for me to be able to look 'under the skin' of a coach similar to mine, to understand the construction.
