RV seminar

For new or old timers. We have been rving for 40 years. Last year we bought a new class A and retired. Traveling was in the fore front of our minds, so we decided a refresher would be a good idea. RV systems constantly evolve and because we were planning to go to new places we decide education was a good idea. After some searching we found the RV Owners Lifestyle Seminar in Kelowna, B.C. It is held June 22 to 25 every year [$190 ea. covers courses and 4days dry camping] We signed up and was totally impressed at what we learned. We met many couples who had returned several times to get update info on equipment, traveling and fun at the seminar.
I learned so much about maintenance and upkeep of our new diesel pusher and all its systems that I never would have gotten from manuals or service departments. All types of RV's are discussed.
We have put on 15,000 miles since the seminar in June 2011 on 2 new class A's [long story]. The knowledge we acquired at the seminars has helped us countless times during that period.
This may seem to be an ad for the seminars but as far as I am concerned you cannot have enough information when you are out there with any RV, their systems are complicated and knowing what to do can change an awful experience to a great one.
Below is the link. We will be attending in 2013 because we will be going to Alaska this June.
Check it out.

Sounds like you made a sound investment and had a great time as well.

Courses like this will give you the confidence to properly diagnose problems with your RV and take pride in that you were able to do it yourself.
