RV Tips -Gnats

Ok for those of you bothered by gnats: what's the best way to keep them off you now that they are bad? When you RV and hike or even when your trying to enjoy the outdoors?

The Deep Woods seems to burn hubby's skin and the face net, isn't always fun either.

We have a box fan, but that's loud.

Thanks for any tips Happy early summer, eh?

I usually just spray a bit of "OFF" arund my hat, and that keeps them away from my face.

If you want to keep bugs and mosquitos away don't smell like a flower. My wife likes to use Bath and Body products and gets eaten alive while I'm nearly untouched. She now switches in the spring and fall to non scented wash and lotion in the summer makes a huge difference.

Avon Skin-So-Soft original formula bath oil. Just slather it up.

We live in south Louisiana and found that the best to keep the gnats away, DON'T LAUGH, is Victoria Secret Autumn Romance. A quick spray and you are good for awhile. We use it all the time fishing and camping. Smells good too

Vicks Vaporub Ointment, Have used it for years Little on the neck, arms, on my fishing hat, little dab on the shirt. Keep a jar in the tackle box as standard equipment.

When we are just lounging around outside I put out two box fans blowing in our general direction. Keeps all the bugs away.

Mosquitos love me no matter what I use. I once received over 100 bites in less than a minute. My entire back was covered. We found a product in GA which is famous for its biting gnats and it works pretty well. However, it really stinks. I think it was called "Gnat Be Gone" and came in a little vial.

Mosquito Barrier Liquid Garlic Repellent is a very strong liquid garlic made from very potent garlic cloves. The "SUPER" garlic used in Mosquito Barrier is a very powerful variety which is much more potent than the garlic found in grocery stores. Garlic has a natural sulfur which repels insects, including mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas. Spraying garlic to keep insects away is not something new, farmers and master gardeners have been doing it for many generations.
