Man, this always gets so complicated and contentious. Use any septic safe TP. Blue Charmin is what we use. Use plenty of water to help break down solids. You don't need or want any chemicals, blue packets, etc. A bit of Dawn detergent along with some water softener, Borax is cheap, now and then helps the water do it's thing. Then rinse the tank well every second or third dump.

No smells, no build up, no problems. Easy peasy.

Yes you can use tons of water and then maybe not have an issue. You can find a lot of info on line, in fact many horror stories of folks who have had major problems with tp blockage in blank tank.. why? who knows? But for us, tossing it in a bagged waste can and later out to the trash and conserving water and less trips to the dump station works for us. (to each thier own)
We do the same whenever possible. And no, it’s not disgusting or barbaric. Poor hand washing technique is disgusting and barbaric and so is spitting.

Even if the first wipe sometimes goes into the system, the 2nd one goes into the paper lunch bag in the waste basket for daily disposal. That’s half the paper going into the tank!

(Makes good fire pit starter too )

And we do use the Kirkland from Costco with zero problems.

Cheers & 🍺🍻

Do you count the squares so you know 1/2 goes where it should?

Of course I do. I am, after all, of Scots heritage.

I’ve resisted the temptation to try to launder it.

Cheers and 🍻🍺

I see! I assume you use "Scot's" toilet paper too.

Try Scots tape. Everything sticks to it.[emoji3][emoji16][emoji7]

75 posts and this thread refuses to die. UNBELIVABLE. The forum needs to high-lite the search button.

Shaking a mason jar full of TP is nothing like a holding tank. Do you shake your holding tank before flushing, no you don't. How many drive any distance before dumping? By the sound of it, not many. Most sit in a spot for a few days and then dump, no shaking going on. Use any paper you like just use in moderation.

must be special

Do you know how many times this subject has been discussed on this forum and others. If you can`t figure this out on your own you need to go home to your mother for advice. Really don`t care about how sensitive your personal area is to RV toilet paper or what you use and how many sheets you use to complete the job.
Read the first post and fast forward 6 PAGES of responses. to this one. Are these the same people that are all bent out of shape over the use of the rope lights? I think so.

You should have a word with the person forcing you to read the thread. You sure seemed to be browned off. I sure hope you’re able to wipe this whole discussion from memory...

Well, gotta run. Sit and think a bit. I’m pooped!
