I've been carrying a small 4 drawer Craftsman tool box for the last 15 years. Here's what it contains:
- set of open/box end wrenches, up to 3/4"
- set of sockets 3/8" drive
- set of sockets 1/4" drive
- electric drill - no battery powered models - not used enough to keep charged
- volt ohm meter
- butane soldering gun
- pliers
- vise grips
- assortment of screwdrivers
- just started carrying a PEX crimping tool and several sizes of PEX clamps- very handy
Supplies:
- Gorilla tape small roll
- 10' of wire for electrical repairs
- tie wraps
- black electrical tape
- variety of hose clamps
- several containers of assorted nuts, bolts, screws (fasteners)
- rescue tape - sold at RV shows - great for coolant hose repairs
- fuses
- bulbs
Typically if something breaks on my motor home and it looks like it could break again, I buy a spare. I made never need it, but someone else might and could save my trip or a fellow camper's trip.

Makita makes nice tools, but I like the Riobi drill and driver combo. If you catch a special you can get a drill, a impact driver, two batteries (L ion) a charger and a bag for $100. Now for those who do woodworking, only Makita makes the short angle driver which is invaluable for close quarters work.😁

Definitely some electrician's tape. Just in case your cat, a squirrel, a mouse or rat chews on your wife's or girlfriend's hair dryer cord.

Hmmmm, I have a Craftsman Combo. Do you think I should toss it and get a Makita or Ryobi? What to do? What about a DeWalt?

I carry enough to do a top end on our ISX and enough other stuff to replace ball joints, shocks, front wheel bearings etc. Yep, way too much! But usually I just grab my ammo box of a couple screwdrivers and small tools.

How about a directory to the nearest Harbor Freight?

Ive got something I bring along that most dont.......... a 20 ton press. And everything else down to a basic set of pliers. It all takes up a pretty good portion of the race trailer.
