RV Toolbox Essentials
Hi Everyone, I'm rather new to this sight and I am willing to bet this has been discussed or links provided in the past. Is there a list of essentials to have in a tool box? I can rattle a list off the top of my head of the basics but don't want to be missing something when I head out on the road. Any feedback is appreciated.

We carry the usual stuff but a quality voltage/ohm meter is essential. Also a torque wrench is very useful to check torque on wheel nuts. Motorhomes will need a torque multiplier to get the high torque values required and I like to have a 150 PSI air compressor and quality air gauge. Check the tires before starting every trip (It's the professional pilot in me, sorry). I also carry a grease gun for the greaseable bolts in the shackles and to dab a bit on the jaws in the hitch. Don't forget several rolls of paper towels and a tube of hand wash gel.

An electric, plug in or battery, leaf blower. Ryobi 18v battery is what I use.
A set of screw driver bits. Many of the screws used in the MH use square or star bit.
Light weight bucket for washing the toad. They really get dirty behind the MH.
As mentioned, a multimeter.
And of course the normal wrenches, sockets, pliers, etc....

Makita impact and drill - with lots of bits - Also have adapter's to put sockets on - I have changed tires with the impact( not the motor coach) Everything you do requires tons of screw removal....

A roll of teflon (plumbing) joint sealing tape. Get the yellow kind so that it can be used on you propane fittings, as well as water fittings.

X2 on Teflon yellow tape. Additionally, I carry plumbers grease to keep the drain hose connectors easy to twist on and off, about 2 bucks at Home Depot. I also carry dielectric grease to keep the electrical plugs easy to insert and remove as well as help to waterproof the connections.

With Bubble gum, bailing wire, duct tape, and a big hammer you can fix most anything.

The amount and type of tools you need is determined on ones abilities to do his own service and repairs, if you're a weekend warrior, full timer or boondocker who goes in remote areas.
