YouTube!!

I too wish there were more RV shows on TV but, there's no lack of content about RVs, trips, advice, etc on YouTube.

Cheers,

Steve

The Travel Channel could be so great, but 95% of their shows are about ghosts or food.

My daughter knew one of those "family's". Well she met the "mother". Seems he was not her husband and the kids were not theirs. So much for reality, unless you want the television type of reality. Just saying.......

THAT'S what I would like to see. I don't want a constant barrage of commercials for this rv or that rv. Show us something we can sink our teeth into. "Learn us sumpin".

The Boones did seem a little "out-of-place" for that kind of show, but they did as well as they could, given the circumstances. I met Pat Boone back in 1976 and he really is a nice friendly guy.

You're right, Pat Boone has always presented himself well. I like his music. I was fortunate enough to grow up & work in middle TN, so was able to follow his career from his earliest days (Ted Mack's Amateur Hour) to his marriage to Red Foley's daughter and beyond. I even went once or twice to his brother Nick's bar (The Tulip is Black). An old girlfriend met him once in Vegas and told me that he was very nice. That said, he & Shirley weren't the best choice for the show. But the producers had to make some quick decisions.

Many of these super RVs they show are tour buses, which I really don't consider as RVs. But, hey, they get to interview the celebrity or at least reference them..... What I can't figure out on some of these tour busses, is how the 6-12 people they sleep share a 1/2 bath, with no shower!

It is also interesting when they show the building of the coaches. I wonder with all the complex systems, many that are one off, how much trouble they are - I am sure the coach drivers are like yacht captains, and have to have an intimate knowledge of the systems and maintenance (and a direct hot line number to the coach builder!).

And of course "taste" is personal, but I'm still not quite sure why some of these mega coaches (and yachts too) have interiors that look like Vegas casinos.

I have found lots of folks to follow on (Utube) One that might answer some of your questions is "Gone with the Winns". or they are just fun to follow. Some just deal with living in a (Van) that they have re-done.

Haven't seen anything on of late that is worth watching. The travel channel has the one you are mentioning.

We actually applied to one of the shows who have people looking at purchasing a motor home. They requested background info and pictures and that was the last time we ever heard from them. I guess I wasn't photogenic enough for them.
