RVIA California RV show

Is anyone else going to this show? Thom and I were thinking of going to see what was new.

We went last year. We were only there for one day, but thought it was worthwhile.
Hoping to make it this year, but we don't know for sure yet.

We just went yesterday. Very large show. Not enough seminars thou, they were very few and far between. All in all it was worth the $10 parking and I had a buy one get one and only paid $10 for both of us to get in the gate instead of $20. Parking was free if you drove your RV there, we did not because we knew we were only looking

Yes we did see several Class A DP's that we were interested in. None enough to just pull the trigger right then on a new one thou. But then we went with a notebook in hand to just take notes and write down which models we both liked. If one of us was not impressed then it was not good enough. I think we went thru every model of every manufacture that was there. We also got to meet Mr. Tiffen. They have a 45 ft model with a walk in closet . We did end up with a list of 21 models that we both liked that now we will concentrate on and decide if we really want to trade in this one or upgrade to a newer one.
The food cost if you got hungry was horrible. We knew it would be more than just going outside to eat but $15 to $20 for a grilled cheese sandwich, fries and a drink was just a bit much in our eyes. $13 for a 24 oz beer was also too much. Luckily we were not starving and could hold off on spending what we called robbery prices.

Amusing note thou ... Every Class A DP we went in had only a residential refrigerator. Not a Norcold or Dematic in them. Maybe it was because we limited out looking to 38ft or larger but still I thought that was amusing. Quite a few had 2 inverters in them.

We are going there in the next couple days, thought it would be fun to look around. Hitting Disneyland too.

They said there would be 1,000 RV's there. I'm skeptical.

Did you people see a 1,000 RV's?

With the combination of all types of all types of RV's (ie class a, class b, class c, etc.) then yes it is probably 1,000 if not over if you count their "overflow" parking outside the show and the used ones. If we had tried to go into every single one then it would probably have taken us 3 days. But we are only interested in Class A DP's with a length of at least 38 ft, thou we did like one that was 37 ft, lol.

They do have $1 off coupon on the site that you can print. I had went ahead and registered to win the Lance on the site and they sent me a coupon for $10 off so that makes it a buy one get one free in the gate for us.

According to the show website, Entegra is supposed to have all three versions of their Class A's represented there. Also, according to the same website the upper end Newmar Class A's were not there. Can anyone verify this for me?

They have all 3 there (Aspire, Anthem and Cornerstone) but when we were there Saturday they had the Cornerstone locked. Someone had bought it and asked it to be locked until they picked it up.

Newmar is there and Thom and I walked thru most of them but (here comes the hate .... ) we decided to cross them all off our list. To us the layout was horrible and they just seemed way cheaply made.

We did like 21 models enough to take down manufacturer and model numbers to do more research. Entegra (42RBQ), Fleetwood (40E, 40X, 42P), Forest River (43FK), Itasca (42GD, 42QD), Monaco (40DFT, 43PKQ, 43PDQ), Sports Coach (405FK, 404RB), Thor (44MT), Tiffin (40QBH, 42LH, 37AP, 43QGP, 45LP), Winniebago (42E, 42QD)
