RVing Bibles / Book recommendations
Hello Friends! I was wondering if and of you seasoned road warriors could recommend some good books about full time RVing and/or just good reference/reading for newbies interested in taking the DieselPusher plunge... im seeing many options on amazon... anybody ever read any real gems?
Thanks, all... and happy travels.

Full timing is definitely NOT for everyone. Have tou ever owned an RV before? You do realize that Motor Homes, especially pushers are outrageously expensive to buy and maintain? Add the horrible depreciation on any RV and you can see your investment disappear in a couple of years.
If you have never owned an RV a DP is probably the last thing you should consider.
How do you see yourself living? On the road every few days, or sitting for weeks at a time? MH owners seem to fall into the move every few days catagory.
If you think living in an RV is going to save you money, think again! Park fees alone can reach 1500 dollars a month. Add insurance, fuel, maintenance etc can add up a lot more than that. You really need to think about this idea, and come back with more of an idea of your plans for more help.

That question has been raised before and no books clearly stood out.
Your best bet is to follow along and read all the posts on this forum and a couple other RV forums.
Do you have any RV experience at all?

Family Motor Coach Association has three paperback books about the systems used in motorhomes. If I remember correctly, the books are routine maintenance, plumbing, and electrical, full of pictures. FMCA is revamping their computer systems, and the Online Store is not currently available. So you would need to call them on 800-543-3622 or 513-474-3622 weekdays EDST and ask for the FMCA Store.
This web site [mod edit] and Gary Bunzer's site, www.rvdoctor.com is excellent with a lot of tips and videos.
Please don't hesitate to ask questions on any of the sites if you have a problem. Once the problem is fixed, please post a message stating what the solution was to fix your problem.

Thank you everyone, for your replies... yes, while i have not owned an rv, I have friends and family who enjoy the lifestyle... I have crunched the numbers and have worked hard to be able to afford a Tag DP, and am aware of the costs/size restrictions.. but I am 6'7" and 275 lbs, so I must have the space.! LOL I read a lot of posts on this forum and am slowly getting my education... the next steps for me beyond leisure reading and forum participation is going to a show (Tampa?) and the Entegra, Newmar, and American Coach factories... hoping to pull the trigger end of the year. I really appreciate those who replied. Thank you. Safe travels.
