RV'ing on the Rebound?

We were in the Texas panhandle this weekend and happened to see a news story on one of the Amarillo TV channels. It featured the Amarillo Ranch RV Park. The essence of the story was the strong return to RV'ing. The person being interviewed at Amarillo Ranch said that their numbers for this year are better than 2007's.

Here is a link to the video of that story, it is about 2 minutes long:

We traveled between the Texas panhandle and Oklahoma City and I certainly noticed way more rigs on I-40 than I had seen in my last three trips in the past year.

I hope this little glimmer of improvement has some legs to it.

My daughter and her family were up in the dry camping area of the Mogollon Rim (Apache-Sitgreaves NF) area near Heber, AZ last weekend.

The whole area was packed. They had to drive way in to find a suitable place.

Traffic on the way back was heavy, mostly RVs.

Of course, the 115 deg temps in Phx may have something to do w/it.
