RV's with names, does yours proudly showing its name

Back home in New Zealand almost all MH Rv owners name their RV's and proudly display the name across the front and often the rear as well.

The name is normally emblazoned across the front above the wind screen, wind shield using vinyl lettering custom cut by a signage company.

Some are hand painted in intricate detail, some are very stylish or use interesting font styles, while others are plain.

I am surprised that I have seen almost no naming signage on RV's and motor homes here in the US.

We are yet to apply Honky Tonk Inn with her name, but plan to do so in spring.

So like boat owners who name and christen their boats we do the same with our Mh's, TT and RV's.

Does your home on wheels have a name ?

Do you display it ?

If not why not ?

After all if you belong to this forum and you knew our name and you saw us some where with our name displayed, you'd be welcome to come and introduce yourselves.

I wonder how many forum members have passed each other, parked alongside or near each other and never known ?

Cheers

Well, the coach does have a name, but I didn't want to put a decal on it that someone would have to scrape off later.

The best I can do is our license plate is my iRV2.com user name.

Yes ours is named Moana, which is emblazoned on our license plate holder in the rear, where our IRV2 decal resides adjacent (honk if you drive by).

Proud to display both but thinking ahead of the sad day when we rid ourselves of the MH not sure another would covet the same name. Besides we would keep the license plate holder as a momento. The IRV2 decal is part of the fabric just like the manufactureres decal it is next to.

Boats often pass with the name attached from one owner to the next but not so much for RV's at least here in the good ole USA.

Ours has several names? Which one in use at any given time dependent on the time since the last expensive repair was required? Some of these I would not want advertised to the public....

Agreed! If Im happy with it then it gets a nice name. If not, then it gets a pretty rude one.

Never named any of my vehicles. After over a dozen cars, at least fifteen motorcycles, three boats and now a motorhome I can't see the the reasoning for naming an inanimate object. But that's just me I guess, to each their own.
