The 4 year old girl injured in the accident involving a RV on I-65 in Indianapolis has died. Her Father was not injured, her mother was treated and released from the hospital and her brother is in rehab near their home.
Our Prayers go out to her family

My heart goes out to the family but I wonder if the child was properly belted in as required by law?

Is this the accident where the driver veered off the road and hit a semi for an unknown reason?

If so, that truck was pretty much demolished - seatbelt or no seatbelt.

The accident was a motorhome pulling a 3-horse trailer which crashed into the rear of the van carrying the little girl's Family. The driver of the motorhome apparently misstook the accelerator pedal for the brake pedal and was accelerating when the motorhome hit the van, pushing it into another vehicle and pushing that vehicle into yet another vehicle.
Apparently all passengers in the van were buckled into their seatbelts.

I hope the driver of that motorhome has lots of insurance because he's going to need it once the lawsuits start being filed, even more so now that someone has died because of his incompetence and numerous violations (driving overlength, driving in the wrong lane, speeding).
