I've been reading the last few days with a heavy heart about all the rv's being placed in hibernation just waiting for next spring .

To the contrary, we are getting prepared for another Texas Boomers rally this weekend at Cut and Shoot, TX. Cut and Shoot, Texas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Yep, really a small town just east of Conroe. We'll have another rally in San Antonio in December and another in January someplace I don't remember and every month next year except August...you northerners can write me then when its a co-zillion degrees here.

There are many blessings living in Texas and one is our winterizing means I change the fresh water filter and sanitize the fresh water tank.

As we enjoy camping in perfect weather this fall/winter, we will try to remember our northern counterparts.

Looking forward already to ground hogs day.

I'll put up with the heat and humidity for a couple of months to not have to shovel snow.

Every summer I think about all of that humidity that I do not have to shovel out of my driveway.....

Go ahead-laugh it up guys. We'll be delayed heading for the RGV this year by a month or so. Our 5er is at the factory for frame repairs, but at least I got my truck back from the Chevy shop. Guess we played too hard last summer and fall in Canada and the NW U.S.A., it was worth it though.
Hopefully we will be able to sneak in to one of your rallies, but if I accomplish nothing else I will attend at least one of the http://www.wintertexantimes.com/News...6/Article2.htm Santa Maria bullfights.

We don't have too many of those "winter" problems in San Diego either. Already have plans for rallys to Quartzite in Jan, Borrego in Feb, and AZ in March.

Pop a cold one at the campfire for us! For those of us unable to leave our "winter wonderland", we will live vicariously through our warm climate members voyages while we watch the snow blow outside, plan next season's trips & wait for the spring thaw.

We're actually having a bout of Indian Summer this week. Blue sky & temps near 70 for the next few days. Too bad my coach is at the dealers for repairs. Oh well, at least I can put the top down on the 'Stang & take her out for a spin.

The best way to winterize a coach is to head south; Texas sounds like a good place top be in between November and March!

My DW and I just "follow the sun". Las Vegas right now is in the 60s which is a little cool for us, so we will bid our son goodbye and head to AZ next week.

Right now it is only 63 in Bullhead city AZ. I even had to break out my long pants. Still it beats Oregon Rain by a long shot.

So sorry about the heavy heart,.....but, yep,...another Texan who has never had to winterize. We used our motorhome all year,...as a fact we use it more in the fall and winter than we do in the middle of summer.
