In Florida- My invoice from 2016 lists MSRP minus trade-in which was a combination of a 30% discount and the actual trade-in. (Really made the trade-in look good) We did discuss the deal with and without a trade-in.
If your dealer lists the sales price instead of MSRP the discount would not be shown. The difference price (new money) would be the same.
