Question Samson Tires

I've seen everywhere, IRV2, and many many other internet sites that Samson Tires are made in China. To be sure, at least as best I can, I checked the NHTSA.gov site and here is where they place Samson Tire location.
NewTire RecID Name DOT City State Country
898113 SAMSON TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY, LTD. AW, TEL AVIV, ISRAEL

Can anyone verify this. I'm not saying anything about quality, or anything else, just tired of seeing misinformation on the internet.

Now, I find this. Go figure...........

Guizhou Tyre Corp. has joined a growing list of Chinese radial medium truck tire manufacturers with products receiving verification for the EPA SmartWay program.

The tiremaker's all-position Samson GL283A LET and Advance GL283A LET both earned EPA approval.

The tires are both available in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75R22.5, 395/75R22.5, 275/70R22.5, 255/70R22.5, 265/70R19.5, 245/70R19.5, 235/75R17.5, 225/70R19.5, 8R19.5 and 215/75R17.5.

I believe you will ultimately find that Samson Tire is a private label, US distribution company and they get their tires from various tire manufacturing plants. One size/model might be made in a Chinese or Taiwanese plant, another in a Malysian plant, etc. Perhaps the ownership of the Samson company is in Israel, though.

Samson started out as a strictly American tire manufacturer based in California, but that was long ago and the brand has been sold and the California factory is long gone.
