Sap Removal

We were recently at a campground in Williams, AZ where a tree was on our site that left sap all over our motorhome, truck and many other things. Does anyone know how to remove the sap from our motorhome and truck? Thank you.

Anything that they sell for cars will work on an RV. I have used Orange Blast with good results on mine.

I even use WD40 to remove road tar. Doesn't harm the finish.

It's either sap or pine tar. Not sure.

I found that the most efficient (cost and labor) way to remove fit sap is rubbing alcohol. I soak a portion with a rag and let it sit for a bit. It still requires guide a bit of elbow grease but it is more cost effective than WD40 or Goofoff.

Isopropyl alcohol will dissolve pine sap. However, if it gets on a woven fabric it's a bear to get to out of the weave.

Try "Simple Green" full strength from the spray bottle. Get one of those sponges that has a green scour pad on the one side. Spray the stuff full strength, let it sit a minute and start scrubbing gently.

Got old pine tar from the previous owner and black streaks off the rig. Used it on the underside of the awning to remove a brownish stain because it was put away wet and left to dry that way.

I have used this stuff ever since.

I have tried everything suggested to remove pine sap from my truck and trailer. The plain old ordinary rubbing alcohol works best and I think it is the cheapest.

Sap Removal

Thank you all. We had an RV detail team come out and clean and polish. It came right off. Will consider your ideas for the future though. Thank you.
