Saving money while RVing
I am looking for ways to save money, write off some expenses or anything that helps to ease the burden at tax time. I am thinking of just reviewing campgrounds, write something about them, not a book, post it on a blog etc. Want to stay within the law for tax exemptions and business expenses. I know people write books about their experiences and sell things on websites they gather across country so any information or advice is appreciated. Maybe I missed the forum where this should be posted so point me in the right direction.

Doesn't hurt to try...
~FeeBay (EBay) used to be the thing to do.
~Flipping items on Craigslist.
~Writing a RVing based blog focusing on either the financial side of RVing or destination based theme.
A few years back someone started a website focusing on taking pictures of campsites across the country. They got off to a gang-buster start, but must have found out this is a big country with too much ground to cover. I checked back every now and again, but it appears they lost interest.
Just ask Bill, who started this website back in 2000. I guarantee it helped his hair turn gray faster and emptied his wallet with all the costs involved.
Myself I just dabble in selling stuff on Craigslist. Average flip is 5-10 times my investment.

That is kind of what I want to do but want to use a blog to show
my travels then write my own review. Not necessarily get commissions but nice idea. Just trying to find something that qualifies as a business for write offs and provides an honest review for others to read. Not just campgrounds but any county, city, state or federal park. Is someone already doing this?

Rving is kind of a expensive hobby. But if you like it and get enjoyment out of it, who cares. I haven't found any way to save money while doing it, only spend money. But some spend more then others. If you work it and make it a business, you probably could even make a little money along the way. If your handy you could do mobil RV service at any place you are staying. Work for cash only, and you have zero tax liability. Or be a camp host and live pretty much expense free and make a little wage also. All kinds of possibilities.

I don't know what type or size unit you have but we recently bought an RV book titled "Big Rigs Best Bets" by Ken & Ellie Hamill. I've talked to them both over the phone when I had some difficulty with their website. They are super nice people and this book is the 14th edition of sites they have personally seen and reviewed. They identify all the details of each place they have been. They document amps, site size, sewer, water, etc, drive thru or back in, they even identify which direction the sites face (ocean/lake/mountains) and how close neighbors might be depending on their size and number of slide outs. They offer an online version of their books as well. You might try reaching out to them for some suggestions? Their email address is bigrigsrv@gmail.com. Good luck
