I got to the point where I would copy the subject line in the CraigsList where it described the coach then paste it into Google search. I was amazed at how many places across the country had that same coach for sale at the same price showing the same picture!

Everyone of our parents told us when we were kids "you don't get something for nothing" and "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is". And that's absolutely certain in this day and age of scams. My elderly father in law (88) lives with us and has for about 8 years. He is mentally sharp and generally pretty aware of his surroundings, although he did break his hip recently. I am astonished at the amount of phone calls regarding some BS service or outright scam e mails that he gets. He receives more BS phone calls on our house phone then we get. Somehow some shysters have his info and get as far as phoning. We now filter the phone calls. Although 2 years ago he snuck one by us and bought a plug in box which plugged into a wall electrical socket which he was told was gonna save all kinds of electricity. We missed that one. It just seems to come from every where though. So I live by my parents wise and simple words. Works much better that way.

One of the best ones I saw was a guy trying to sell a Winnebago in the States.

The glitch was, that the pictures on the site were taken by me of the coach I had just sold to another person in Canada a week earlier.

Never send money

I got involved in one of these. It appeared to be a new near Rialta at a great price. The seller claimed to be in the Army and was being moved to a new base soon. He said the Army would assist in the sale by having it delivered. All I had to do was wire the funds and as soon as confirmed the unit would be delivered by Army personnel. The final ploy was that he was being relocated to Spain and gave a account #. When he received the money in the account he would call the Army base and have it delivered the same day.

How did it work out?

Scam

It smelled all along. Last straw was "wire funds to my account in Spain"
