I was contacted yesterday by a scammer who had a link to a RV classified that I had posted on irv2. The link was to a seldom used e-mail account and the scammer was offering me $1,000 more than my asking price as long as I would accept a cashier's check for $5,000 more and transfer the difference in cash back to his attorney via Western Union. This is a known scam. Beware and feel free to cross-post to all lists.

I also have a rv for sale in the IRV2 Classifieds. You enterd your e-mail in your ad, as did I and you were contacted that way. It is not possible to just get anyones e-mail from there. we all listed it so we can be contacted. Thank goodness you recognized the scam before you got suckerd in. Thanks for reminding everyone about these types of scams.

Ido not think this person has broken into or stolen e-mails as much as they are parusing these types of sites and using the avalability of peoples e-mails to try and pull a fast one on sombody. I to was contacted by some scumbag from somewere in Europ a couple of years ago when I had a camper for sail I sent him a VERY nasty reply as well as sending a copy of his e-mail to the state A.Gen I then sent him the same e-mail everynite for about 3 weeks Hope he enjoyed it So every one beware If it sounds to good then it probably is Bye
