Ron beat me to it...

We took some portable 45 kw generator trailers to a local trailer manufacturer to look at a locking box for the cords and it took him a long time to stop laughing at them...it seemed the company who built the system simply added generator to some trailer and called it good.

Tongue. Weight was way to small and they were not the best to tow.

So be sure you consider the balance of your design.

Baffeled tanks to prevent sloshing helps as well.

There are plastic shaving like material the farmers use to make water stable too.

Not usually an issue unless sloshing of water can change tongue weight or cg.

You need to hit that 10 to 15 percent of total and keep it less than the hitch rating.

Not sure what the sweet spot is as I know just enough to be aware of it being a point of concern and let folks who do that for a living provide advise.

Baffled tanks is a great idea! Just added that to my list. Thank you for that.

I like your well thought out approach, I'll be watching.

Google results ...

The heart of the trailer industry is in the Elkhart area. I hope it's close to you. I think there would be some professionals eager to make the best of your design for you, at lower cargo trailer prices. Then finish yourself or use custom guy.

If it were my chips that are all in, I would have the shell professionally and custom built. For peace of mind on the road. Good luck
