Selling an RV

Are any of the sites that offer to buy your RV legit?

Probably, but don't expect a good price. They are all hoping you will take a low-ball offer cause it is immediate cash. Or that you will go for some other consignment-like deal after you hear the low offer.

If they do offer more than 50%-60% of the average retail value, you should probably run away because there is surely a scam in the works somewhere. They is no honest way they can buy above wholesale and turn a profit

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

They may be legit but they are looking for a fire sale price! I would try advertising it in the free Classifieds here on IRV2 and on RVTrader.com. Put plenty of pics on RVTrader! I would put the following statement in any ad you place: "I can only accept a direct transfer of funds between your bank and mine, NO EXCEPTIONS".

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Gary,
On your note about the RV going to a consignment shop type deal.
This is in my mind very risky. Damage, theft, he said she said,....... On and on.
Not saying you were suggesting that.
I personally have listed on the internet and always sold it myself. People who want to list it for you have been known do nothing and when you find your own buyer they still want the commission.
