I have had success with a "For Sale" sign at an RV park. Others have parked their RV near or even at an RV show with a sign in the window with some success. Just a thought.

Good luck.

I found the pictures, nice MH. We are looking for something in the 37-40 ft. Best of luck selling her.

We may be the single inquiry you mentioned. We are still in discussion between my wife and I. We are looking at new order with delivery AFTER Jan 1st due to high property tax of 3% due if owned on 1-1-15. Two positives with new: Wife was impressed with L-couch facing tv with fireplace, no sideways viewing. Also liked ceiling fan in bedroom. We would like a power down bunk over front for grandchildren, but only under review and consideration for now by Tiffen. Yes, you have several upgrades and modifications that I have done to my class C and would immediately have to do to a new one. A positive plus for me having been there, done that!

The hundred views you got were probably from people like me. I am shopping. Not ready to buy. I do not know what I want except I know I want a Diesel pusher. I get on rv trader and that PPL or what ever it is and ebay. I sit for hours sometimes and look at everything.

We had 12 boats while spending 10 years at the beach. All were different from the others, and I just liked to have a boat that I could make "right" and then sell when I had nothing else to do to fix her.

Our MH seems to be a blessing. Found her on a whim, bought within 20 minutes, enjoy the floorplan and have no need to upgrade. Sometimes, you just know when you see it.

P.S. engaged at 5 weeks, married at 5 months, happy at 43 years. Live fast!

My point is: if you kinda know that you want, and see it, just do it.

People are not calling for one reason...it is over priced. ......is there anything that cannot be replaced from Goodwill? If it can be bought at Goodwill it has no value to a buyer. Just being honest as to what buyers are thinking. We let everything go with our old MH and bought all new for the new MH.....most buyers could have cared less.

Having just sold my Travel Supreme, RV Trader out produced all of the others 10 to 1. Do take the mega photo option as people look at the photos and call on the price not reading much that's in the ad.

Also, look at NADA Low Retail price if yours is pristine. Otherwise, or higher miles, plan on less than that number. Sorry, if that's not close to asking price, but 1000 views indicates a lot of lookers, but put off by price, pictures, or description.
Yep, we went and looked at a 2009 Monaco Dynasty yesterday, priced at about $6,000 over low NADA. Looked good in the pictures and had about $50,000 in options, including the Vorad system.
Looked pretty good inperson except the DW didn't like the floorplan. But then I started seeing signs of water intrusion: bad sidewall, a little rust at a joint, wavy ceiling panel, rust around the vents, new aluminum sealing tape in the vents, that kind of stuff. The front heat pump had been replaced with a different style unit and not painted to match, the original in motion dome satellite had been replaced with a Shaw unit, the SaniCon was missing.
All in all I'd figure taking $20,000 off the asking price IF my wife had fallen in love with the floorplan, and she didn't like it to begin with.
Only had 15,000 miles and had the 500 HP ISM and 15,000# hitch.

I totally agree. There is just a little problem with cash flow. I want to pay everything off and be debt free first. 3 years to go.

We appreciate all the replies here. I ran the NADA and with the options we have it appears we are around the price range. Maybe just a little high compared to what some dealers are selling their used ones for. But, you have to think that if it is on a dealers lot they probably gave the customer a high price for their trade-in to get the customer into a new coach that was over priced enough to cover that trade-in. And on the dealers lot, most of the time the coach will come with nothing in it, no manuals, service records, extra equipment, and as I call it stuff. I've yet to meet a salesman that will tell you the true story behind a used vehicle.
As far as the price we are asking goes, it is negotiable. Will we take less, you bet, but within reason.
I did put the add on RV Trader on 9/6/14, so maybe the inquires will pickup some. I hesitate to use Craig's List and E-Bay due to all the scammers out there.

OPS1268, although I agree with your thoughts about whoever buys it from you will get the true history and know how well it was taken care of. But you will probably not be able to sell it at the same price that a dealer would. Alot of people buying used feel that they have a little bit of recourse if something goes wrong with the MH if they bought from a dealer. Also alot of people don't want to mess with getting their own financing and registration done. I know that is simple to do but alot of people are leery buying private party and having to do all that on their own, unless they get a great deal on it and it is worth their time, but not at the same price you can at a dealer.

I have a relative in the RV resale business and he usually buys these things at a steal, and then adds 15% to his costs on the MH for a quick sale. He runs the MH thru his service shop, usually puts new tires/ brakes on, all oils changed, interior cleaned like new, and/or new furniture if needed. But he also takes care of all the registration and financing as well as a 6 month warranty, and offers extended warranties at a good price. He has had some Tiffins on his lot similar to yours that he sold for the mid 80's. All his prices are listed on the coach and he does not negotiate the price as he prices them to sell. He cannot keep enough newer ones on the lot as they sell fast.

When looking at MH's on-line and it says negotiable most new buyers are not thinking a big money discount, and they think it is probably like buying a car. I'm sure your MH is worth it, because you know how well it was taken care of ect. But there is too much competition out there to sell at that price and people who can afford to buy may not even ask how low you would go.I hope you sell it for what you think it is worth, I know I would feel the same way as you becuase of the way I take care of mine I would also want to sell it higher than what most people would want to pay...Good Luck

Beware there are plenty of scammers on RV trader also. I have always had good luck EBay and a tad less luck with Craig's. Just sold my $60k vehicle
on Ebay, buyer bought sight unseen and picked it up a week later after the wire transfer had posted. I've done this more than once. I'd use all your selling options including pricing it correctly.
Seems like you may not feel comfortable selling by owner so a consignment at a trusted dealer might work out better. (Like PPL)
I'll be selling my low mileage pristine garage kept 2014 Fleetwood in a year or two expecting to go for the high $60's with $3k of added options. (IMO My extra options may make the sale but add no value).
Good luck with the sale!

I run a dealer and write ads every day that have to work or I won't have a job very long. Good pictures and lots of them are a must! You have at least one that is too dark and not nearly enough. You need shots of every interior area of the coach. I would also recommend shots of storage compartments. Also take all your belongings out of the pictures. It looks lived in. Get the soap and paper towels off the counters, get rid of any personal pictures ect. It must look un cluttered and new. Nobody wants to see a dishtowel hanging from a stove blocking the view of the cabinets. Might seem minor but its true. Buyers want to imagine their stuff in the motorhome, not yours. Forget about the extras and the tow dolly. Sell them separate. If you are willing to negotiate, then post a price that is very close to what you are willing to take. Leave yourself a little wiggle room but get close! Remember, pee pee sells PRICE AND PICTURES! Also think of your price point, on many sights people can search by price ranges, you don't want to be a buck over and miss all those people looking in a lower price range. Look at how the website price ranges work and price to get the most views. OK free lesson over, I don't want to make you guys so good that I can't sell mine!! Your also coming into a slow season other than snow birds and a lot of them are heading your way! Good luck!
