Time to write your congressman if you want to have a National Forest to visit. Once this sort of thing starts it's down the slippery slope till there is nothing left to sell (and nowhere left to visit).

You are so right and if someone does not wake up there will be nothing left to enjoy for the folks that come after us. I have traveled for all my life 67 years and seen the best and the worst that this country has to offer but in the last 10 years someone has lost their mind and only want to take care of their rich and powerful buddies at the expence of us common folks. I started going to Pigeon Forge Tn in the early 1960 and the Mountains were beautiful and full of trees. Now some jackass from the midwest with more money than brains has cut the top off the Mountains and ;pushed out the trees for log cabins and what use to be a site to behold is now just a mess. I don't know why the people that control the building permits don't see that by destroying the beauty the are killing off the reason so many of us visit the area. The national bird is no longer the Eagle but a osterich with its head up its tail. The one thing their will be is no more land or uncut forest to enjoy and I don't think we can stop the greedy politician who want their warchest lined with money from developers. Well off my soap box but you are right someone better care before it is to late one tree at a time. Willie
