Went and got mine a couple days ago. I had called the park, and was told to get there soon and early, as they are going fast.

I have one since I turned 62. Last week we drove out to the headquarters of the Sam Houston Nat'l Forest and purchased one for my wife. Wanted 2, just in case.

You can order online. Search for National Parks Senior Pass. Just ordered one for my wife since she would not be able to use mine if I wasn't present. $10 pass fee plus $10 processing fee on credit card.

Wife thought she lost hers, so we picked up one at the National Campground we stay at, then she found it, so now we have three. At that price, pick up a spare, they don't check if you already have one. But you do need photo ID it use it, you can't lend it out. Ours dangles on the mirror of our open Jeep, so I worry about it getting stolen, hence the extra ones. But in 8 years, nobody has lifted it yet.

I always thought , no wonder the gov't has such a deficit if they keep doing stupid things like giving out lifetime senior passes to everywhere for just $10. Even at $80, it is a bargain.

I got my Golden Access pass sometime shortly after 1988 and still have it. Have even used it in Hawaii.

Current wife just got hers in the mail yesterday.
If they kept the low price and you lost it, no big deal, just buy another.
At the new price they should send you another if you loose it.

Called the BLM office in Phoenix yesterday to inquire if they had the Senior America the Beautiful / National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. The answer was "yes" and a very nice staff member gave me directions to their office in down town Phoenix. We arrived this morning and each bought our passes (we may go separately at times). We were there less than 10 minutes, and they validated our parking! - fast, efficient, service! Grand Canyon here we come!

Just one wife.
Married for the last 39 years.
Just don't want her to get to comfortable with the whole situation. :-)

My card of several years of use needed to be replaced. At a national park was told I had to purchase. With the price increase, buying now seemed prudent. Currently not near a park, so went to a small town forest service office. A very efficient employee there "exchanged" my broken card for a new one at no charge and thanked me for enjoying this great country.

Wow! There are people having good days and wish the same for others.
