Service on 1994 Newmar London Aire

Hi all. First time owners. We live in Austin, Texas. We need some service work (coach and chassis) performed and are looking for a reliable, honest service dealer. Specific dealers recommended by Newmar are at least a two hour drive. I've looked at reviews of Austin RV dealers but they weren't favorable. Are there any Austin area RVers out there who can recommend a good place to get my 1994 Newmar serviced? Thanks.

I just had an interesting discussion with a long-time Newmar owner who prefers to drive his rig the 10 hours to the factory for upgrades and repairs rather than trust any local dealers in NJ.

Twin Hoops:

We had an '04 Newmar KSFW, with the exception of one event, which Newmar could not get us in, we always went to the factory. They always did a phenomenal job! Many of the workers in the repair dept had worked on the assembly line, so they knew how they were made and how to fix them. No guessing! The parts were always "near by" and just a great group of folks to work with. We went there because when we took possession of the unit from the dealer, the minor things that needed to be done to the unit they didn't perform very professional (laying on the rigid underbelly with it still attached to one side making it wavy from the workers weight and knocking off the styrofoam insulation). Newmar knows how to do it and does it right. No, they are not perfect, but times that things didn't come back right when addressed they always left us better off. We went during the winter when the labor rates were lower, slower time for them and got to personally know several of the workers. Heartily agree with your friend!
