Severe weather !!!

National Weather Service is issuing a severe weather for the south east. Here in the upstate of South Carolina starting around lunch time on Tuesday snow , possible 2 - 4 inches and .25 inches of ice. And on Wednesday a second storm with a possibility of another 2-5 inches of snow with ice. So if you are traveling around north of interstate 85 please stay tuned to the weather channels. Please find a place to button down the hatches for at least 48 hours. Please stay safe . If you are on the Greenville , SC area and need to get off the road contact me here, I'll be watching this post.

Wow, sounds like it could outdo Atlanta's fun with Winter from a couple of weeks ago! Meanwhile, it's 85 and Summer here in Byron Bay, Australia. Spent the day on the beach, watching surfers and sail boarders. We'll think of you while we enjoy some 'prawns on the barbie.'

They're calling for 3 days of snow, on and off, for Atlanta, and predicting it will be worse than the recent storm. The gov, after all of the heat he took last time around, has already put the National Guard on notice.
Carolina's up through PA on Wed looks to be a real mess, and New England could potentially be hit with a major storm on Thurs, depending on the track.

In short, the whole Atlantic coast, from Louisianna up through New England is going to be a real mess...and no place for a motor home to be.

This winter has been one of the worst in recent memory. We even went through a month and a half of really bad weather here in central Florida. Two days ago we had almost 2 inches of rain after several days of showers. I realize this is not snow, but we moved from NY to Florida to see sunshine. Let's hope the weather improves all over the US, and world.

Hopefully that gets winter behind us. We're due to head back to upstate SC in three weeks.

Here in Wisconsin, we have had 33 days below zero since the beginning of the winter. 63 days of at least 2 inches of snow on the ground. And little chance of relief in the near future. Just hope it does not suddenly warm up, then rain. The melting snow, plus rain, will certainly cause some flooding.

Am in the Upstate (low lands, Fairplay less than 1,000 feet above sea level) and well... I plan on remaining on the warm side of the door as much as possible but have somewhere I need to be... Wed Evening.

Good heater on the car though.

They're closing schools this afternoon and already for tomorrow around the metro Atlanta region. Most likely they will be closed Wednesday as that's when the second storm is supposed to hit with the ice.

We here in not-always-sunny north Florida are expecting 70% or so rain on Wednesday. This time of year, it's either cold and dry or warm and rainy. This winter we had some cold and rainy - that is really a bummer!
But that little rodent in Pa. says more winter coming!

It has been an unusually cold winter here in KY. We were spoiled by last year's great weather. The trips south to AL and FL help, but I guess it requires more attention to travel weather before starting out. C'mon SPRING!!!

Don't pay any attention to that rodent in PA. We have General Beauregard Lee of the same species, who resides at the Yellow River Game Ranch in sight of Stone Mountain in GA. Gen. Lee says we will NOT have more winter. I'm not sure how that squares with the two weather watches we are now under for the next few days. The Governor said for trucks to stay off of I-285, and for everyone to get off the roads this evening so the road treatment vehicles can get where they need to get to.
