Sewer hose weight?
Give me some ideas for a DIY sewer hose weight. Thanks!

An old tube sock filled with pea gravel works pretty well, though not very attractive.

Yo Joe,
My wife tells me that I have no whimsy, so I got one of these to prove her wrong.

There are more practical and certainly cheaper options, but I like my pig.

Sewer hose weight?
Joe, many CGs have some football-sized rocks laying around, or if you habitually carry a few short utility pieces of 2 X lumber, those work too.
I've found about half the places have threaded sewer connections, so no weight needed.

DW hates flamingo's so I'm looking for a flamingo weight!
Well, actually I'm not as I use the Blue Line connectors and they screw in or fit tightly enough I don't need anything else.

Cute pigs Steve, but I'm too cheap to pay that much for a sewer hose weight!

I've stayed at some CG's that the sewer pipe is not threaded and is too small for the donut! In fact, I ran into that problem last week!

I have no imagine, this unit is lightweight plastic, when filled with water makes a great weight.

Makes me wonder what kind of plumbers these guy are that would stub a pipe 18 inches about the ground (Cape San Blas Florida) or one even with the ground (KOA Cherokee NC) The one in Cherokee had nothing but a piece of broken roof shingle covering it. When it rained during the night, the water actually ran into sewer.
Now, pipe too small to accommodate a regular sewer dump hose.
The pea gravel in a sock is a great idea by the way

Two cheap plastic tent steaks and a bit of rope. Rope can be adjusted to the height of the receiver pipe.
Or four tent steaks if you want to be double sure that it won't pop out. Just criss cross them like an X.

If they are too tall, Sawz-All.
If they are too small, a pvc adapter from the wet bay.
If you need to weigh it down, give your DW the foot-on-pipe duty. If "no freekin way", a beer for the neighbor (bonus: idle conversation about beer). If grands are around, Some-Mores bribe.
Hay! It don't take all that long once a week compared to the grocery checkout!
Happy Trails, y'all!
