Know what you want and a general price you will pay. I was at Quartzsite show looking at a specific coach. Two dealers has the same model. After negotiating with both dealers they ended up $60,000 difference in price??

Lots of mark up here and one dealer brought in the factory to kick in some extra cash. The factory reps are generally at the shows too.

Make sure you know the floor plan that works for you and don't even consider anything else. Actually make sure the DW picks out the floor plan!!

I actually put a deal together subject to getting to put 50 miles driving the coach. After driving it on I 10 and the smaller roads I just hated the way it handled. Not sure I could of ever enjoyed driving it. No matter on the deal it wasn't for me. Even tho the $$$ might be right make sure you enjoy the ride & drive.

Agree with above. The important point is to know exactly what you want, right down to the make and model. Maybe have one more as a back up plan, just in case?

THEN you can start your shopping! At that point, if you find it at a Rally, you'll recognize a good deal IF there is one to be had?

Going to a rally with the idea that you're going to pick out an RV and buy it right then is a plan that's likely going to cost you a lot more than it needs to IMHO.

Most of the time the only thing a rally is good for is looking for ideas....
