As I am here in sunny (not always...) Florida, if I ever post I'm having five inches of snow, y'all better run for the hills, it's getting 'Biblical'!
I generally list the little 'bedroom community' close to me, as it's no longer on most maps. Only a local would know where I am.

Listing a home state is fine for all you that are unlucky enough to not be full time. I can tell you where I am from and where I am at and sometimes, but not always, even where I am going.
