We use our shower. Like most we didn't spend this much money to use other facilities.

When shopping for a motorhome last year I looked first and then took the current wife on a tour of the best choices.
I told her I was leaning towards a class B but also included a class B+ and C.
Before showing her the B+, I said "Don't focus on the bathroom, we won't spend that much time in there".
Well she focused on the bathroom so we got a B+ with a huge shower.
We took it for a month trip and 50% of the time we dry camped where there were no showers. It was glorious.
Was thinking that I will use campground showers when available.
I may have changed my mind. We have such a nice shower, why not use it all the time?

We do the same.

This is well said. Someone knows about saving water. This question brings a lot of answers. Seems. Moho owners with large tanks and tt. Owners do things differently. I agree most of the campsites we have been. The showers are clean.

Showers can be expensive too. At Denali Natl Park, they offered showers at the Riley Campground. Cost was $5.00. They did supply a towel though.

the biggest reason I have for my motorhome is the shower and toilet. ive been to campground showers and realize that you are standing in filth. not to mention the smell. not to mention at any moment you could be getting scalding hot or freezing cold water. No thanks.

RV shower as long as we either have full hookups or are only camping for a few days. When we go to a NP campground for the allowed 2 weeks with electric only, then we use the campground showers and toilets too. But at the end of two weeks, both black and grey tanks are filled. But the NP campground facilities are cleaned very well every day and they have temperature controlled showers.

What amazes me is that we both take a no-hurry shower in the RV and never run out of hot water using only the electric 6 gallon heater. OK, we do wait between showers for the heater to catch up. Haven't fired up the gas hot water heater in years.

We always use the rv shower. If we are going to be without FUH for more than 3 or 4 days I take my portable gray water tank and dump gray water with it every few days. Black tank can go a week or so.

I have been a tent camper for like 50+ years. Showers are wonderful things. backpacking that is what you may dream of.... Ok I have a TT and showers just fill up your grey water like no tomorrow. So if a really want a nice shower I head to camp ground facilities. But we use our TT shower and take what I call listed water shower... get the job done. Going from tent and backpacking to TT make camping a breeze IMO. I switched to TT just because of AC/HEAT, water, and a wonderful bed. Had enough roughing it but still like to camp. I hike but no more backpacking.

First thing we do in campgrounds after parking is go for a walk and take a look at the bathrooms and showerhouse if there is one.

A lot of times the park showerhouse will do just fine and we use it. now and again the showerhouse creeps us out and we do not use it. If the campground is really full we also will not use the showerhouse, We figure we can use our shower and leave the campground showers to those who do not have an option.

Most campgrounds have all the hot water one can need and much better water pressure than the rv does so it kind of becomes a nice treat to take a long hot shower in the camground without having to worrry about how much water i am using and is the grey tank almost full.

We never use campground showers. It's much nicef to use our own shower and have to dump the grey tank every so often.
Same here. If we don't have a campsite with full hookups, I would take the blue boy to the dump station every day if I had to rather than use the campground shower.

PS: We can go 6 to 8 days on the gray tank when we don't have full hookups so I don't really have to take the blue boy to the dump station every day.

We enjoyed dry camping in public parks and would usually stay the allotted two weeks. We had no issues using the campground showers if they had them. We wore thongs on our feet so there was no 'ick' factor. The water is hot and clean. It's no big deal.

Public shower vs our nice in coach one! That's like public toilet vs your own bathroom.

The only time I would use the public one is if we did not have a city water hook up.

The only reason I would ever use a campground shower is if we had a leak in our shower. I have used super small wet baths in pop ups and our Casita. I now have a big neo shape shower I use every day (we have big tanks). I do navy showers when we are dry camping, but I can get luxurious when we have full hookups. Never again will I voluntarily step onto the floor of community shower.
