Great points! and a splash of humor thrown in too. This is the real advice I was looking for. I do most of these things, and my plan is to be mortage free....so I can retire at 62 to 67 years years of age.

I think the major expense is planning for healthcare if you retire before age 65. That's our biggest worry and preventing early retirement.
