Skylight Replacement - Fleetwood Southwind

My '07 Fleetwood Southwind 32 has a two piece rectangular skylight over the kitchen counter area and is identical to the one over the shower. Both the inner and outer skylights need to be replaced.

I've taken the dome (inside measurements) and the flange (outside measurements) and then looked at several on line suppliers, some of which have been recommended on this site. I can't seem to find one with the exact measurements nor one with the same number of screws along the flange as the OEM one.

Anyone aware of a supplier who perhaps has in their database what specs the OEM ones are and if they have an exact match or replacement for the RV?

Thanks....

Ron

Skylight

I bought one for my 07 Revolution from Fleetwood. It was about $100 delivered. In stock a perfect fit!

Thanks for the input...I'll give Fleetwood a call and the on line vendor.

Dave,

Couple of follow up questions if you remember:

1. Did the replacement have the screw holes pre-drilled in the same spot as the OEM?

2. Did you get both an inner and outer skylight and if so were both flanges the same width?

I did call Fleetwood and they do have the skylight in stock. The inner and outer have different part numbers but are both 14 x 22. She felt that the outer would have a wider flange.

Thanks....Ron

Ron, My comments below your questions. Dave

Couple of follow up questions if you remember:

IT WAS UN-DRILLED. TRY AND MISS THE ORIGINAL SCREW HOLES FOR BETTER HOLDING. DON'T OVER TIGHTEN!

2. Did you get both an inner and outer skylight and if so were both flanges the same width?

JUST THE OUTER. THE INNER INSTALLED FROM THE INSIDE ON MY COACH.

I did call Fleetwood and they do have the skylight in stock. The inner and outer have different part numbers but are both 14 x 22. She felt that the outer would have a wider flange.

Thanks....Ron[/QUOTE]

Thanks for the follow up Dave. My inner also installs from the interior as well but I was curious if the flanges were the same width for both inner and outer.

Good tip for making new screw holes....makes perfect sense. I have some eternabond here so I think I'll use that for the exterior seal over the flange to the roof. I may still use some butyl tape on the underside of the flange as well.

Ron
