Sleep Number bed and generator use

We like our Sleep Number bed so much in the S&B we bought one for the motorhome. Actually, just the mattress and pump.
My question is if anyone has used this with the generator to provide power. We seldom are somewhere without an electrical hookup, but will be dry camping for a week soon and wondering what effect the generator might have on the pump. We have your standard Onan 4000 gas generator. I do use a surge protector as required in the instructions.

We have a sleep number bed in our coach. We have a whole house inverter that the pump runs off so there is no need to run the generator... Do you have an inverter in your rig?
If you need to use the generator for the pump, it should work just fine.
I have a love/hate relationship with my sleep number.... Sometimes it seems to have a life of its own and will inflate or deflate on its own. I get tired of waking up and finding that it is up to level 90 and hard as a rock. I've been trying to figure it out since I bought the coach.

We have a sleep number bed in our RV and we can air it up once and then it will hold that pressure for days with no problems.

Just remember to adjust the bed for altitude. If your heading to higher elevations, take the pressure down and re-adjust when you arrive at your destination.
Try to live up to your dogs opinion of you.
