I had a disc remove in my back about 12 years and I had the same problem and the sleep number took away all my back aches and pains. I for one cannot say enough good things about it. We had ours for a little over a year now and I no longer have any back problems.

I think it is marketing hype. And with it, we seem to be having more trouble sleeping and back pain, not less.

And why does it go flat everytime you change power from shore to generator and back?

Maybe many of the folks who do better with it, only needed to get a new premium mattress since they do wear out.
Have never had mine lose any air, even when stored with out power of any kind.

Memory foam works best for us, never felt as though it was warm or uncomfortable because of the foam. I've had more things wrong with me than most, still wake up without pain

Same with us. Our temper is by far the best for us. The pain number bed is in storage
