We're considering a Sleep Number mattress for our 5er (definitely gotta have a better bed for long trips). What is your experience with one and would you buy it again?

My wife and I just returned ours. She could not sleep comfortably on the mattress. Queen - 2 air bladders, She found that she needed to adjust the mattress for side sleeping vs. back sleeping. 2 different sleep number settings - she was waking up to adjust. Worked great for me. We didn't feel that for the price it was a good value. We found foam bed at 1/3 the price. Added down mattress cover to provide plush feel. We returned mattress, but lost about $150 on the transaction for the shipping costs. That is the downside if you want to try the bed for 30 days.

We have a King in a 2008 MH and it's great. With that said, I seem to recall some having problems with the controllers or pump, I can't remeber which. The only thing that might not be good is trying to sleep in the middle where the two air bladders meet.

Have a select number bed in our Bounder. Most Uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. I would not pay 5 dollars for one. We plan to get rid of it this summer and buy a real mattress. Right now my wife sleeps on the couch because it is so uncomfortable.

We have had King at home for about 6 years and have a Queen in the MH. Had one in the previous MH also. We love them. Would not consider any thing else.

LIke all matresses, it appears to be personal taste. We haven't purchased one solely because we have to 60 pound dogs that like to jump up on the bed. We worry about one of them possibly damaging an air bladder. I don't know if that is a legitimate concern, but it's our reason for not looking into them further. We just purchased a high quality queen size mattress and we sleep great.

We have one in our house and got one installed in the Motorhome... Really like it. There is a difference with a queen and a king (besides the size!). They both have two air bladders separated by a foam divider. Really feel this more with a queen. A lot of people don't like them just because of that. With the larger king this is not as much of an issue.

I just cannot comprehend spending that much money on what is essentially an air mattress? Why not just go to the local sporting goods store and get a regular old air mattress for 25 dollars? Personally when we were shopping for a new bed for the stick and mortar place we made a deal for the exact same mattress for the trailer. Now we sleep the same no matter what. Except one is a queen and one is a king

It's definitely personal, but I'm on the hate side. Our MH came with one and I can't get comfortable. Even worse is the dividing wood piece in the middle which basically eliminates all possibility of snuggling with your partner. I'd be very happy to be rid of it.

They must make something quite different for motorhomes than for home use. We have a queen size at home and we love it - no hard divider in the middle, even though we each have separate controllers for firmness. It's the most comfortable bed I've slept in except for a water bed. However, after a couple of water bed disasters we don't buy them anymore.

Is it a sleep comfort or sleep number. Select Comfort is what I have and it's great. No wood inbetween sides on mine. I think someone's selling something different.

Overpriced junk! Our motorhome came with one, and I am waiting until my wife decides the time has come to get a real mattress I think she would take great pleasure in filling it to the max, and putting it out of our misery with a sharp knife. The only thing that can be said for it is that it weighs less then a real mattress.

We have a queen sleep numbe. We got it right after my rotator cuff surgery. It was the only thing i could sleep on comfortably.

When we sold the house and went full-time, the sleep number moved into the 5'er. Goin' on 10 years now and we've loved every minute of it.
