Smell under bathroom sink

Bad oder under bathroom sink ..what do the black pipes do that are capped off but have two small slots in the cap?

Air admittance valves or backflow preventers. Do you have tank washouts in your black and grey tanks?

That would be your vent for the drain. It sounds like you need a new air admittance valve. They unscrew and you can pick one up at Lowe's or similar places. Here is a link to the one at Lowe's: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Studor-1-1-...e-Vent/1081741

I call it a check vent, but it's purpose is to bring air in so the waste pipe drains properly.

As to the smell, do all your p-traps have water in them?

Unscrew the valve and rubber band a baggie or saran wrap over the end of the pipe. If smell goes away buy a new valve at Lowes.

We had this problem but under the kitchen sink. Was not pleasant until I figured it out.
