That way I and others like me can save them the trouble of deciding if we are fit to park there,,, And perhaps.. if enough of use do that... They will not be so... Discriminating... in the future. (or even in business) .

Following this same line of logic then country clubs have no right to be members only, senior citizen housing has no right to be senior citizen only, no pets apartment complexes have no right to not allow pets, women should be allowed in men's restrooms and vice versa, is that correct?

We all discriminate in some fashion or another. There are some neighborhoods you would never leave your RV or even your car. There are some stores you don't like to shop at because of one concern or another you may have. There is a thread on here about not wanting to buy any products from certain companies because someone doesn't like their ads.

A history teacher of mine many, many years ago summed it up very well when he said "America is a place where everyone should have an equal right to become unequal." Most of us work to provide for our families and our own comfort to a level we see fit. It appears to some that this is a form of discrimination or snobbery. I see it more of being able to enjoy what one wants to enjoy or what is called the fruits of one's labor.

Very well said. Part of the American Dream is striving to attain "things" which we enjoy. It may argued that this is shallow and/or wrong but it's true. This is why I can't relate to the earlier comment that "modern American" won't admit that they "discriminate" by social class. In that context, social class seemed to be defined solely by wealth and for many of us the pursuit of being able to afford a more comfortable lifestyle is very important and the right to do so comes with living in this land of opportunity.

"Discrimination" is being used as though it is an evil word. Some just have discriminating taste.

Of course it's discrimination! It's legal and I applaud and encourage this variety of it. In fact, I dedicated much of my adult life to ensuring that you and everyone else in this country have the freedoms to do so.

Hey, you're the social engineer under the guise of "liberty". I haven't advocated government involvement in the market or with personal property, you have.

There are thousands of property associations with rules that govern resident's actions in every state of the union. It is not an infringement to anyone's liberty because they agree to the rules in writing when they buy there. If you don't want to agree to the rules, nobody is forcing you to buy. Same thing with the campground in the OP's post. It is a residential campground with RV spaces owned by individual owners, and it is governed by a property owner's association, no different than a sticks and bricks housing community. It is both natural and very fair that these owners have set rules for the common good, and nobody is forced to go there if they don't like the rules.

If it's clearly stated as a class A only resort, I wouldn't even consider going in with anything else.

The OP did not have a Class A or his manufacturer would have stated that it is. It is not.

The RV park is for Class As only. What's the big deal? There are many parks of this type. This isn't the only one.

Like I stated in my earlier post, we tried to go to a national park campground with a small trailer and the sign said 'tents only'. Did we get offended and complain about it? Not a chance...we just moved on. There are many different kinds of campgrounds. . . some for memberships only like Thousand Trails, some are for Elks only, some are for 55+ only. Some don't allow more than 2 pets. Some don't allow generators.... and the list goes on. One does not fit everyone. So be it.

We have edited and removed some posts. Our #1 rule here at IRV2 is " be nice " , there was a previous reminder regarding political discussions. We're trying to leave this thread open. Please help us.
Thanks.
