Hi all was wondering if anyone has ever stayed at one of the state parks in south Carolina. Where they have the 50 percent off if you stay 30 day.

I haven't but wondered about that. Is it just a temporary thing? Please give us any info that you have.

I just found the info in the link below! Thanks!

We stayed at Myrtle beach state park years ago and it was very nice. While we were there we checked out Huntington Beach state park in Murrells Inlet just south of there and liked it better. We plan to stop there on the way south this fall.

I looked at that deal for winter months and it is a very good one. The only problem I see is in January the average high temp is only mid fifties and low near freezing. Better than up north but not warm enough for me.

I'm with Mark. High coastal humidity an cold temps (it is not New England cold but it is indeed cold there by Southern Standards) would not be that pleasant to us. We likely will spend some time on the Gulf this winter an it gets pretty chilly even there.
The good thing about the South is this snow stuff ya'll have pretty regularly does come occasionally, but it leaves very quickly - much to the relief of all
