So, I'm sitting watching ty

and the power goes out. It is 10:55 pm and out of the blue, darkness.

Ok, tripped the breaker. We are plugged into a warehouse/garage we rent. 200 amp commercial service. I go out and there is power to the complex. Into power to my unit. Into the garage and all my breakers are on.

Outside and the 200amp breaker on my service is tripped. Try several times but it will not reset.

Call power company, get to outages and tell my story. Try to reset several more times. She will call lineman and call back.

Fire up the diesel generator - ac on.

I go in and reset every breaker in my box. Try to reset main. Turn all my breakers off. Try to reset main,

Power company calls back. Try to reset, pushing harder, no good. Will send lineman out to replace breaker,

And here I stand, outside, waiting for the lineman, posting,

Lineman made it. Yep, the main breaker was bad. Almost didn't have a replacement. They were in a replacement truck - theirs had a blowout.

Borrowed some of my tools to get the breaker replaced. They had NEVER seen a main breaker go bad before.

Power back to normal at 12:20am

All is well.

Wasn't that big of a deal, but it has been +95 degrees here every day for over a month. Over half of those have been triple digits.

The only frustrating part was the lady on the phone telling me I wasn't resetting the breaker correctly.

At least the generator got exercised!
