Well, a lesson learned but it's really not hard. Return one or the other and and get the tools that use matching batteries or your money back. As someone mentioned, there are kits and imo, one of those would be the way to go. I've seen many on sale and they usually consist of something like drill, saw, flashlight, charger, and a couple of batteries for under $200.

I did notice that the jigsaw portion of the set is a bit harder to find. Looks like it will cost more if your heart is set on having this.

One battery fits all Makita brand....drill has nice balance....

Not if you can wait a week or so. There are tool sales all the time, especially at Fathers Day (June 18), plus deals online all the time, e.g. Amazon, Ebay, etc. At least get tools that share the same battery, whether Hitachi or another brand.
