South wind electrical

I have a 2008 fleetwood southwind. I’ve had it for 3 years now. I’ve had a nagging issue with the intellict system from time to time, mainly on shore power. I had an issue with the chasing lights not allowing full power to allow A/C compressors to start. I think I just figured it out..... Whin I’m on generator traveling I turn water heater off at the breaker, all works fine. Last night I set up at an RV park with adequate 50 amp service and had the “chasing” lights on my display, no compressor start up. After checking all connections, trying on 30 amp side as well, no luck. While laying on ground investigating electrical area in rear bed room by breaker box, I turned on the water heater breaker and whala, instant 50 amp and full light indicators, no chasing lights.

Does this sound logical? System gets confused when on shore power with a breaker off ?

The load managing system needs to read both legs of 240 volt power, to go to the full 50 amp mode.

If it only reads one leg or 120 volts, it assumes you are on 30 amp, 1 leg service. At that point it tries to shed load s to keep from tripping the pedestal breaker.

The sense wires are connected to two circuit breakers in the panel, one on each hot leg. Most likely one is connected your water heater breaker.

Others have had the same issue because the flipped off the washing machine breaker.

Thanks for input. There’s actually a missing breaker in my panel, been that way since I’ve had it, wonder if I should see what that’s all about? However all is perfectly normal at the moment.
