"Spot the Dane" competition

Here is a bit of fun for you

Competition rules:

You have to spot "The Great Dane" and say "Hello - you must be The Great Dane I see on iRV2"

The price:

A nice bottle of red wine, not to mention the chance to meet new friends.

The clue:

Look for this on the passenger side slide

Another clue is that we are nice and warm at the moment, and that we are on Mountain time.

We are in a 2007 Monaco Diplomat with big windows on the passenger side.

Who can participate:

Any iRV2 member/reader whom we haven't meet already. That means that all our great friend from Texas Boomers and from the Quartzsite meetings are excluded - sorry. They are however eligible for a big hug and a cold beer any time.

In general:

This very prestigious competition is not sanctioned, endorsed or sponsored by iRV2 or any other conglomerate.

The competition ends when we are spotted for the first time, or when we leave the US on the 26th of March 2012.

Time starts now: March 8th 2012 at 6:55PM

Good luck

You are doing terrible I haven't even had to hide a single time.

I have decided that you need some serious help.

Currently we are staying with friend on private land - not much of an opportunity there I have to agree, but on Friday we are moving again.

Here is a strong clue:

We will be close to Lake Medina in good old Texas for a week.

Surely you can not avoid to spot us (unless you are still hiding in say Florida yourself).

Don't make me drink the price myself

Henrick, you switch to vino now and not good barley pop. I just finished a nice Sierra Nevada pale Ale....yummy. Come to Houston and I'll share.

Clue!
The Great Dane typically stores his coach in Texas, so watch the interstates and campgrounds.

Since us Boomers are not eligible, we can point him out to a non-member and share the vino.

Hide Henrick, hide.

Ken - that's the problem. I like both.

Almost forgot about the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Very tasty

Dang - I should have thought about that when I made up the rules. Now I have to "quick-grow" a large beard and wear a hat for the duration of our stay

OK then - here is the new deal:

It's open season. Anybody can claim the price (even Boomers ).

Thousand Trails at Lake Medina. It's almost a "give-away".

Start looking or I will get the cork screw out my self

Henrick, sure wish we could sneak off and meet you over there. I was laid-off from my job last Tuesday. I have interviews set up for Tuesday and Wednesday. Plus the trailer is in the shop getting a wet-bolts installed on the spring shackles.

When do you get the long boat out and start paddling back across the big puddle?

Ken

Ken - I am surely sorry to hear about you being laid-off. I hope you get the job you are applying for. There is no substitute for experience so I am sure that you will find something real soon. Best of luck.

We are leaving in only 9 days - unfortunately. Like the past 5 years we are not ready to go yet, but our 90 days are up now.

We spoke to our neighbours today and it has been unseasonably warm in Denmark as well, and all the spring flowers are starting to show themselves. That may be a small consolation.

If everything goes to plan, we should be back in 6 months time.

See you all then.

Could you take a trip to Canada and then back into the US? Or does it not work as easily as that?

We used to be able to go into Canada or Mexico and then return for another 6 month, but after the world "went crazy" we are only allowed up to 90 days. After this, we are told that we have to "go home" for a while (without letting us know for how long).

How this makes the world a safer place from "villains" like ourselves we can't tell you, but this is how it works these days.
